Their vigilance and prowess held the brigands south of the Gygas in check.<br /> <br /> During the [[Wars of the Malign Ascension]] they originally aligned with [[House Tasel]], but after [[Casimo Tasel]] killed the line of [[House Endros]], they switched allegiance and fought for [[House Ulwyn]]. They defeated Casimo at the [[Battle of Little Bridge]] but Mesirnin destroyed their city [[Corus]] in retaliation, killing most of the Mortimas women and children.
