A Marquis is Lothian member of aristocracy (commonly young) who is appointed by his masters on The Stone Council to manage land on the outer territory of Loth, called the Northern Regard.
A Marquis is always nobility, albeit not always a powerful family member. Depending on the productivity of the territory, this appointment can be considered a great boon or an insult.
