House Mortimas

A versatile family of great talent, the Mortimas tamed and dominated the River Gygas and were instrumental in the construction of the Velaxi Highway. Their vigilance and prowess held the brigands south of the Gygas in check.

During the Wars of the Malign Ascension they originally aligned with House Tasel, but after Casimo Tasel killed the line of House Endros, they switched allegiance and fought for House Ulwyn. They defeated Casimo at the Battle of Little Bridge but Mesirnin destroyed their city Corus in retaliation, killing most of the Mortimas women and children. The surviving lords of Mortimas fell back to Peladun and fought there until that city fell.

None survived that siege and the line is now extinct.
